Our approach · Relationship

Deep ecology.

The world around us is part of the world within us.

We are part of the landscape.

Deep ecology extends the work beyond the individual and into relationship with the living world. It asks how the places we inhabit, the beings we share them with, and our sense of belonging shape our inner experience.

At GRŪND, this perspective informs counselling and contemplative practice, alongside my own ongoing learning with the natural world.

How this enters the work.

In counselling, we can make room for your relationship with place, ecological grief, disconnection, or the need for a more grounded way of living. Observation, sensory attention and reflection on your everyday surroundings can become part of the conversation.

This is not about adopting a belief or being told how to live. It is about exploring the relationships that sustain you, and noticing how care for self and care for place can inform one another.

Choosing a way in.

If you want to explore these themes personally, we can include them in a 60-minute counselling session at the standard individual rate. There is no separate ecological service to book; these themes can be part of your counselling when they matter to you.
